Russian TV channel Staff Resign
Tensions are running high in the world over the Russia-Ukraine war. As the situation worsens, Russian President Vladimir Putin is reluctant to give up. Instead of giving up, Putin has threatened Russia’s neighbors. On Friday, Putin warned his neighbors not to escalate the fighting. He encouraged ordinary people as well to take part in solving this great task: “One of the things you and other people can do is keep up the pressure … there are going to be some difficult decisions for government”.
Russia has a responsibility to help its neighbors. Accordingly, neighboring countries need to fulfill their responsibilities to Russia. All employees of the leading Russian television news channel “TV Renee” have resigned in protest of the attack on Kiev, Ukraine. Following the resignation, they chanted slogans such as “No to War” and left the office and studio at the same time. They also announced that they had aired the final episode of Channel 4.
