Reproduction in Organisms

Reproduction-in-Organisms

“Art, as I see it, is any human activity which doesn’t grow out of either of our species’ two basic instincts: survival and reproduction.” “Love is only a dirty trick played on us to achieve continuation of the species.” “Reproduction is more pleasurable than death.” The term ‘reproduction consists of two words -(i) re = again and (ii) production= to generate or produce. This term, therefore means to produce again the same kind. The ‘again’ here indicates that a living organism can arise only from another living organism, but of same kind. Thus reproduction is a process in which a living organism produces agam a copy of its own kind (Species). Reproduction is the most important characteristic feature of all living organisms and its called Reproduction in Organisms Like other organisms, flowering plants (angiosperms) also reproduce.
