The theme of World No Tobacco Day 2022 was “Tobacco and Lung Health”. This year’s theme focuses on “Tobacco Dangers to the Lung”, which points to cancer and chronic respiratory diseases.

In 1998, a second program called the Tobacco Free Initiative (TFI) was established by WHO with the goal of drawing public attention to the global health problems of tobacco use as well as focusing international resources.
